Default MOVIE: Ready Player One

Ready Player One

In the year 2045, the real world is a harsh place. The only time Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) truly feels alive is when he escapes to the OASIS, an immersive virtual universe where most of humanity spends their days. In the OASIS, you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone-the only limits are your own imagination. The OASIS was created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance), who left his immense fortune and total control of the Oasis to the winner of a three-part contest he designed to find a worthy heir. When Wade conquers the first challenge of the reality-bending treasure hunt, he and his friends-aka the High Five-are hurled into a fantastical universe of discovery and danger to save the OASIS.

- Written by Warner Bros.

Saw the movie and it is very good.

I want to bring one thing up though. And this one thing applies to the reality that we are creating (or should I say being created for us) and that is in every movie; Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ready Player One and other sci-fi flicks... you'll notice that the rebel or the band of rebels get past security easily.

In reality, our world today, security is being worked on in powerful ways. The movies make the future look easy to rebel against. It won't be. The movies have few cameras, few chips under the skin, few log-in securities.

To believe that any crew could just waltz in and set-up the Death Star or simply go into the OASIS in Ready Player One without having all of your identity up to snuff like how a bank knows who you are is silly.

The future will be extremely secure yet they hardly ever show that in Hollywood movies. It's always way too easy to get in, create chaos, and destroy the bad guys.

The coming global government won't be like that.
