Bank Of America CEO Wants A Cashless Society

Excerpt: Bank of America (BAC) CEO Brian Moynihan embraced the digital money movement on Wednesday, saying his firm has “more to gain than anybody” from the booming trend of non-cash transactions.

“We want a cashless society,” Moynihan, who heads up the second largest U.S. bank, told attendees at Fortune’s Brainstorm Finance conference.

It's been a grand experiment for the past decade with the creation of Bitcoin and other digital currencies. Now it's time for mass adoption.

As the article states, we already use electronic payments with credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, etc.

The scary thing is that once cash is gone there will be no more anonymity for people and what they earn or what they choose to buy. All purchases will be monitored. All money earned will be monitored. Your lifeblood in the economy, money will be watched just as you and your privacy will be 24/7.
